Equal Protection from Water Balloons? A man has been charged with aggravated battery after throwing a water balloon at a fire truck in a parade and getting Representative Dennis Hastert wet. The man claims that he didn’t know that Hastert was driving the fire truck.
I wonder whether I would get the same protection of the law were I to be dampened by a water balloon, or whether we’ve now abandoned even the pretense of that.
