&lt;p&gt;Last year we were all about how FAT people are, especially poor people, or did everyone forget about that?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;These people made ludicrous choices.  Not only is there shredded cheese, they bought canned beans!  On $21 a week, you need to buy the dry ones and soak and cook them yourself.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Also, hamburger may sound like a budget item to someone who makes $150K a year (or whatever a congressman makes), but it is not.  He should be buying stew meat to go with those potatoes and onions.  Soup bones, when available, are great not just because they are cheap flavor, but because cooking the bones and marrow add a lot more nutrition to the food.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The cheap way of cooking is not just about saving money.  There&#039;s a lot of useful information there.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What do you want to bet they are peeling those carrots?  :D&lt;/p&gt;
